[Pardus-devel] Calisan and Kurulan Differences

Hi Rajeev,
It looks like an xorg driver problem. I strongly suggest trying 2007.1 as it
has many updates. I'm at work now, but may be able to try this at home with
my i945 based notebook.
Can you also try to rename xorg.conf (so there's no more xorg.conf) and
reboot? Even if you can't get a graphical system (you shall normally, as
zorg will recreate it), you will get a login prompts and will be able to
check if it's locking up or not.
For what you have tried:
- You need to have only one device section in xorg.conf
- You need to keep the resolution at low settings (i.e. 800x600)
- It has nothing to do with ipv6, don't worry about these errors.
to start X as a user, you need to stop kdm first (as it may be using the
display :0) by "sudo service kde-base stop" and then run startx
Best regards,
Emre
