[Pardus-devel] Suggestion for kde logout screen

Hello,

I have a suggestion for a change to the Kde logout screen.

At present when a user wishes to logout, they are shown the current
screen, however if they wish to suspend to ram then the process is now
very quick, they have to fold the supend button until suspend to ram
appears. This is a bit cumberson and time consuming.

Recently a patch was put on kde-apps, that gives an alternative logout
screen, similar to that found in Ubuntu. This screen can be
configured to show each logout option as a completely new button,
including the suspend to disk and suspend to ram. The patch allows
you to use the modified version, or return to the current kde logout
style.

Perhaps if that patch proves stable, then this could possibly be used
at the logout screen? To me this appears to be a big usability
improvment over the current version.

What do you think?

The patch and screenshots can be seen here (notice screenshot 1)
