Sure. Please do the following for testing Catalan.

1. Install kde-i18n-ca and glibc-locales-ca from Pardus repository.
2. Go to Tasma (Pardus configuration center) from Pardus menu, then 
click on Regional settings. Click on "Add language" -> Add Catalan.

Now you installed Catalan language support (well, not there yet, but it 
helps for you to test things now). To test that your desktop really 
speaks Catalan, double click on System icon on desktop. You'll see image 
attached.

3. Now do the following (i.e for kio_sysinfo.po):

msgfmt -v -c kio_sysinfo.po
sudo cp messages.mo /usr/kde/3.5/share/locale/ca/LC_MESSAGES/kio_sysinfo.mo

Just like the example above, run msgfmt for each po file and copy 
resulting messages.mo file in the directory mentioned above with the 
name of the application, i.e

- "kaptan.mo" for kaptan.po,
- package-manager.mo for package-manager.po
- ......
