Kickoff is not a part of the KDE3.5 branch, so the issue of the french - and other languages I presume - localization of kickoff is Pardus-side, not KDE-side. Here are the steps to follow to get a french kickoff menu : -1- Write a french kickoff patch -2- Patch kicker.po with it -3- Compile the resulting file by the command line : msgfmt -o kicker.mo kicker.po -4- Move the created kicker.mo to $KDEDIR/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/ Conclusion : I definitely need guidance from a developper to do this. Who is the best man to contact in the Pardus team ?
